Stationary Scene Camera
When using ETVision head mounted optics, it is possible to display and synchronously record video from an external camera. Note that this is in addition to the normal head mounted scene camera video. This may be useful for recording an external view of the subject that is synchronized with the gaze data and head mounted scene camera video.
When the ET3Space feature is used, a point-of-gaze cursor can also be superimposed on the image from a stationary external camera. This is also in addition to the normal head mounted scene camera video.
The external video source can be any video source recognized by Win10 or Win 11, on the ETVision PC, but is most commonly a Web cam with a USB interface. Video sources with up to 1080p resolution at 30 Hz, and USB3 interface, usually work without slowing system performance on a minimum spec ETVision PC.
